Hello there and welcome to this week’s Runway Inspired Challenge! We have another awesome inspiration photo and the chance to win a prize from Ellen Hutson.
Here’s my card:
I love the colours on the model’s outfit and chose three Distress Inks that I thought matched the closest to create a custom coloured panel (Dusty Concord, Picked Raspberry and Ripe Persimmon). I swiped the ink pads onto a piece of cardstock and spritzed with water to blend the colours a little.
I heat set the inked panel and then used the Winnie and Walter Multifaceted Cutaway to die-cut the triangular shapes – I was left with the pieces for this card and the frame for another 😉
I used the same die on some pearlescent paper and this time retained the frame – I dotted some liquid glue onto it and adhered it to a card base, leaving the edges free from glue. I cut away some parts of the frame for a bit of interest.
I then inlaid some of the coloured pieces back onto the card and moved onto the sentiment. This came from WPlus9’s Written on Ribbon set and was stamped onto black cardstock with Versamark, sprinkled with white embossing powder and heat set.
I trimmed the sentiment into two strips and foam mounted to the card with some twine. To finish, I added a few sequins.
Be sure to stop by the Runway Inspired Challenge blog for more inspiration from the rest of the DT members and play along for the chance to win!
Thanks for stopping by 😉

Coolio! I just played with that die again too!
