MFT May Release – Countdown Day 4

Hello again!

Time to showcase some more goodies from the My Favorite Things May Release!

NewReleaseCountdown_Day4

For Countdown Day 4, we’re showcasing some Birdie Brown stamp sets (The Whole Herd and Green Pastures) a Cow Print co-ordinating background and stencil set, and some fabulous Barn and Rolling Hills Die-Namics. Here’s my card:

There are some really cute animals in The Whole Herd set and I chose to stamp the cow and colour it with Distress Inks before fussy cutting out.

For the background on the card, I took the Cow Print stencil, laid it onto a kraft card front, and sponged some Picked Raspberry and Festive Berries Distress Ink through it. I then offset the stencil and used a white gel pen to trace the outlined of the pattern. While the stencil was still in place, I lightly misted with a mixture of water and Perfect Pearls.

I stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink onto some black cardstock, sprinkled with white embossing powder and heat set before trimming down and foam mounting to the card front.

The cow was also foam mounted to the card above the sentiment. To finish, I adhered some matching sequins.

Clever, very clever using the stencil to not just color, but to add an offset outline. I love that you used only one cow. This is an awesome, creative card.

So cute! The cow is adorable and I love your offset and slightly ombre background. Congratulations on your new DT spot at MFT!
