25 Days of Christmas Tags

Hello there!

Today I’m sharing a tag I’ve made as part of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags for 2014, organised by the wonderfully talented Tracey McNeely. I was asked to play along as part of the CAS-ual Fridays DTs (of which I was on the challenge team).

There are some awesome prizes up for grabs from the following sponsors – all you have to do is leave a comment and I’ll draw one lucky winner ;-):

Reverse Confetti
Clearly Besotted
CAS-ual Fridays
Neat & Tangled
Paper Smooches
Lawn Fawn

Here’s my tag:

I created a layered tag using a partial die-cutting technique to extend the size of the middle and bottom tags. I used a Sizzix Snowflake embossing folder to add some texture to the top tag and going over it with some Distress Inks.

For the middle tag, I inked up a panel with some Festive Berries, Picked Raspberry and Aged Mahogany Distress Inks, and then heat embossed a christmas tree image in silver (though you can only see the bottom part of it peeking through!).

Out of the same panel, I die-cut a deer and foam mounted it to the top tag. I also die-cut another deer out of a metal sheet and adhered next to the first one.

For the bottom tag, I partially stamped a sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Christmas Carols set with brown ink, and brushed over it with some white Perfect Pearls. The three tags were then foam mounted to each other and secured with a piece of satin ribbon through the top.

A gorgeous, elegant, classy tag, Mayuri: rich with details and images that are just so festive and stunning. I have no deer in my collection, but with your amazing inspiration, that may have to change *grin* Thank you for sharing your inspired, inspiring mini work of art!

Wow! Your triple layered tag is stunning. I love the way you used some of your inked and embossed panel for one of your deer. And the second deer diecut from metal really is beautiful. The whole tag is gorgeous!
