Runway Inspired Challenge #67

Hello there and welcome to this week’s Runway Inspired Challenge! We have another awesome inspiration photo and the chance to win a prize from Simon Says Stamp 😉

Here’s my card:

The dark panel was so much fun to create using perfect pearls! They were already on my desk from when I created this card, so I thought I’d change the technique up a little and instead of just brushing them onto a stamped image, I used them to paint with!

I began by stamping images from Altenew’s Hennah Elements set with Versamark onto some black cardstock and sprinkling with Kaleidoscope embossing powder. This powder is clear but with a little touch of holographic sparkle!

I added individual shades of Perfect Pearls to water to create a sort of paint palette and went about colouring all the images – when the light catches the panel, it looks so pretty! Once dry, I stamped some of the smaller images in the spaces with Versamark and brushed with a dark red Perfect Pearl for some added depth.

I die-cut a Kelly Purkey feather in the centre of the panel so that I could create a shaker card. I flipped the panel over and adhered some acetate over the negative space and then added foam squares all around the edge before pouring some black sequins onto the acetate. I backed with some purple foil cardstock before foam mounting the whole thing to a card base.

The sentiment and banner comes from Winnie & Walter’s newly released This Awesome House set and was heat set in white onto cardstock matching the card base. I finished with a mixture of sequins and gemstones.
