Here’s my card:

This was such a fun card to make, and the idea could easily lend itself to mass produced cards – I used Distress Ink panels that had been cut into strips, but they could be replaced with pattern paper or really, any scraps lying around in your stash!

I began by colouring pieces of white cardstock with various Distress Inks (in colours that I thought matched the photo). I also randomly stamped images from the Clearly Besotted You Are set onto the panels in slightly darker ink colours. Then the fun bit – I trimmed each panel into various sized strips and layered them onto a separate piece of cardstock.

Once I was happy with the arrangement, I adhered the strips onto the piece of cardstock and trimmed down to a rectangle. I foam mounted the panel to my card base and then stamped the border from Pinkfresh Studio’s Hello set around the edges in Versafine Onyx Black ink.

To finish up the card, I added a die-cut vellum doily and flower (both from WPlus9) along with a sentiment from my pattern paper stash.
