Neat & Tangled July Release, Day 2: Sailmates

Day 2 is for the Sailmates stamp set and there are some fun, nautical images and sentiments in this one…

Here’s my card:

I drew a circle on a watercolour card base lightly in pencil and then painted in a sun using Dylusions Ink Sprays. Once dry, I went over the sun with some clear Wink of Stella.

I stamped the wavy lines with Salty Ocean Distress Ink and used a wet paint brush to draw over them to help the ink move around. Once dry, I stamped over the lines again, but with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink – there’s also a line of clear Wink of Stella here too!

I masked off the wavy lines before stamping the cute little sailboat image with Versafine Onyx Black ink. Then I paper pieced the sails in with some pattern paper. The base of the boat was coloured with Intense Pencils.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment and added some Crystal Clear sequins (my new favourite embellishment :-)).

Be sure to check out the Neat & Tangled Blog to see what the rest of the DT has created – there’s also a giveaway! All the sets that we are showcasing this week will be released on Thursday, 17 July at 8am EST in the shop!

Thanks for stopping by 🙂
