Hello there!
This week’s Runway Inspired Challenge is extra special because its being sponsored by Waffle Flower – yay! That means the DT used Waffle Flower stamp designs on their projects, so you’re in for a treat 😉 Here’s the inspiration photo:
And here’s my card:
I gravitated towards the shades of yellow and black from the outfit. When I stamped some of the flowers from Waffle Flower’s Loved set, I tried the ‘rock ‘n’ roll’ technique to try to create some depth – can’t see it so much in the photos, but its there 😉
I began by using a paper stencil to act like a mask, through which I stamped the flowers and branches straight onto the card base. (I used the same stencil for this card). I inked up with images initially with Hero Arts Lemon Yellow and then ‘rolled’ with Butter Bar.
I stamped the tiny hearts and branches with Simon Says Stamp Black ink – the sentiment was also stamped with the same ink, once onto the card base and then again onto another piece of white card stock. I then stamped the banner image from Neat and Tangled’s Creepy Cute Shadows over the sentiment, and fussy cut out.
Before foam mounting the sentiment banner, I balled up some white thread and added to the card base with glue dots.
To finish, I stamped the tiny ‘XOXO’ and sprinkled some co-ordinating sequins.
