Hello there and welcome to this week’s Runway Inspired Challenge! We have another awesome inspiration photo and the chance to win a prize from Simon Says Stamp.
Here’s my card:
I was immediately drawn to the top half of the model’s outfit and tried to emulate that with some embossing paste and and a stencil 😉
I swiped some silver embossing paste through the Memory Box Flourish stencil onto a piece of lightweight vellum. After removing the stencil, I sprinkled the paste with a silver tinsel embossing powder and set aside to dry. Once the embossing paste had dried, I heat set the embossing powder that was sitting on top – I did this afterwards because I didn’t want the molten effect that you sometimes get when you heat set embossing paste.
I trimmed the piece of vellum down to slightly smaller than an A2 card base and foam mounted to the front. I used a Pierced Rectangle Frame die from My Favorite Things to die-cut a white frame and mounted that at an angle on top of the vellum piece.
I stamped the Watercolor Flowers with various dye inks from My Favorite Things, fussy cut them out and adhered them in a cluster at the bottom of the rectangle frame. The large die-cut sentiment comes from the Stars and Wishes set and the smaller one comes from Count The Stars.
To finish the card, I added some small pearls.
Be sure to stop by the Runway Inspired Challenge blog for more inspiration from the rest of the DT members and play along for the chance to win!
Thanks for stopping by 😉
This is just stunning! That background looks amazing and I love the purple flowers!
I have to say.. I like your card, more than the outfit. ^_^ Great job.. Thank you for sharing.
