Here’s my card:

I love the colours on the model’s dress, from the stark black lines through to the maroony-reds and greeny-yellows. This is what I used as the inspiration for my card, which is super simple to create. I began by stamping the largest doily from Penny Black’s 30-237 Dazzlers set with black onto a piece of white cardstock.

Then I cut the panel into two pieces, one wider than the other. On the wider one, I stamped a sentiment from the 30-105 Gratitude set. I then added a few ink droplets using Aged Mahogany and Peeled Paint Distress Inks for some interest and then set both pieces aside.

On a white card base, I masked off an area with postit notes and blended the same colour Distress Inks together from top to bottom. I didn’t need to do this across the whole card as I knew only a small slither of it was going to show through 😉

I removed the postit notes and went over the blended ink area with a clear Wink of Stella pen for a bit of sparkle. I then foam mounted the two stamped panels onto the card base, revealing a bit of the colour through the middle of the doily.

To finish, I added so matching sequins!

Wow you just keep knocking these gorgeous cards out of the park. That colorful gap you created draws the eye straight into that lovely, intricate doily design. So effective.
