Hello everyone!
Welcome to the start of March release week for Neat & Tangled!
Day 1 is for the spring themed Hello Spring stamp set and co-ordinating die. Here’s my card:
I began by creating the floral background using the smallest flower stamp from the set. I took a piece of watercolour paper and stamped the image repeatedly with Dylusions ink sprays, making sure to leave a large enough space in the middle for the largest sentiment from the set.
I applied the ink using the applicator from the bottle, and swiping it across the stamp. I dampened the part of the watercolour panel that I was going to stamp on with a bit of water first, and then stamped the image – this gave me lovely results, as I wasn’t looking for a clean, sharp impression.
I even made sure to blend some of the inks to get a third, transitional colour. This brought the whole piece together – I heat set the stamped flowers and then mounted my panel into my MISTI so that I could stamp the large block of sentiments from the set.
I stamped this with Versafine Onyx Black ink a couple of times to get a rich black. I then trimmed the panel down and adhered it to a white card base.
I white heat embossed ‘Hello’ from the same set onto a small strip of black cardstock and foam mounted it to the front. I sprinkled a couple of sequins to finish off.
Pop by the Neat & Tangled Blog to see what the rest of the DT has created – all the sets that we are showcasing this week will be released on Friday, 9 March at 8am EST in the shop!
