Hey everyone!
Today is the fifth and final day of the August release from My Favorite Things before the new product launch, and it ends with another fabulous group of dies and stamp sets!
For Countdown Day 1, we’re showcasing a cute stamp set from Miss Tiina called Bionic Bots which has co-ordinating dies; the Frightful Fence Die-Namics; the Spooky House Die-namics; the Four Way Chevron Cover-Up Die-Namics and the Stitched Interactive Window Trio Die-Namics. Here’s my card:
I’m a massive fan of any sort of large, cover-up style dies, but the Four Way Chevron Cover-Up has definitely stolen my heart! I was thinking about all the techniques I wanted to try but settled with die-cutting it out of some white card stock and foam mounting the piece on top of an inked panel.
This type of die is so versatile because you can have a background whipped up quite quickly. I created the inky background by blending two colours of Dylusions Ink Sprays onto a very large acrylic block, spritzing with water, and stamping down onto a piece of white cardstock.
The inky panel was heat set, trimmed down to slightly smaller than the card base and adhered straight down. The die-cut white piece was foam mounted on top. I then stamped one of the robot images from Bionic Bots with Archival Jet Black ink and coloured it in with some ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens.
I die-cut the ‘bot out, foam mounted it to the card front and added a touch of clear Wink of Stella over the body. The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of black cardstock with Versamark ink, heat embossed in white and foam mounted next to the robot to make it look like he was holding it 😉
