MFT July Release – Countdown Day 5

Hey everyone!

Thanks for joining me at the start of July release week for My Favorite Things!

For Countdown Day 5, we’re showcasing the Blueprints 26 Die-Namics, the Piece of Cake stamp set and the Split Diagonal stencil and background. Here’s my card:

I began by die-cutting the ‘Birthday’ sentiment from Blueprints 26 out of some coloured cardstock and trimming it down to fit the width of my card base. I then adhered a panel of white cardstock on top of it to anchor it and make it easier to foam mount to the card base. I partially stamped a sentiment from Birthday Wishes & Balloons with black dye ink and set aside.

I took the Star Celebration stencil and lay it on top of the card base before sponging through some silver pigment ink. I removed the stencil and then brushed over some Perfect Pearls for a bit more shine! I tried to catch it on camera – hopefully you can see it in the photo below 😉

I set the Perfect Pearls with a light misting of water and then foam mounted the whole thing to the card front, allowing the stencilling to peek through the top 😉

I stamped a bear from Birthday Bears (showcasing tomorrow!) and coloured him with Distress Inks before fussy-cutting out and foam mounting to the card front. To finish, I adhered a couple of die-cut balloons and drew some strings to connect them to the bear’s paw.
