Hey everyone! Hope you’re all looking forward to the weekend 😉
Just popping by to share a card I’ve made combining Winnie & Walter goodies with the May Embellishment Kit from Pinkfresh Studio:
I really enjoy making the most of my dies and wanted to try the partial die-cutting technique with the leaves from In Bloom: Maggie’s Roses Cutaways. The result is a very delicate border.
I began by marking out a vertical line on a piece of cardstock to use as a guide for the partial die-cutting technique, and lay the leaves on top, taking note of where the line was. I then partially die-cut the leaves where they met the line by making sure my cutting plate only covered that part of the dies and the piece of cardstock. Laura Bassen demonstrates this fabulous technique beautifully here.
I repeated the process a few times, altering the position of the leaves to create the elegant border and then stamped a sentiment from the cute stamp set in the Pinkfresh Studio May Embellishment kit.
There are some really fun things in this kit, including wood veneer, letter stickers and a co-ordinating stamp and die set!
I adhered a piece of pattern paper to a white card base and then foam mounted the die-cut panel on top, finishing with some sequins.
Be sure to stop by the Winnie & Walter blog for more fun inspiration and a giveaway of the kit! Woohoo!
Thanks for stopping by 😉
I am in love with this card!! So beautiful!!
