Day 2 is for the premiere of In Bloom: Lola’s Bouquet, designed by the hugely talented Joni Andaya, Essentials: Audrey Cutaways and In a Word Cutaways (of which there are four word dies in total) Here’s my first card:

The background is so quick and easy to create for this one, especially with the gorgeous array of images in Joni’s set! I began by stamping the roses and leaves onto a panel of white cardstock in an arrangement that began in the bottom left hand corner and finished in the top right.

I used a combination of inks from Hero Arts and Simon Says stamp – the two step process for these images gives you so many possibilities and allows you to create endless floral backgrounds! (would also make great wrapping paper too!). I used the small tag die from Essentials: Katherine Cutaways to cut an aperture into the panel so that I could create a shaker element.

There’s a sneaky peek of a stamp set being showcased later this week for the sentiment, which I stamped directly onto the card base with Delicata Golden Glitz ink before foam mounting the panel on top. Here’s my second card:

I absolutely adore the vibrancy of this card, and can only seem to achieve it with Dylusions ink sprays. The background was created simply by spritzing the sprays onto a large acrylic block, then spritzing a watercolour panel with water and stamping the inky block onto the watery paper!

The ink bleeds and moves around so beautifully whilst mixing together to create a subtle blend. I trimmed the watercolour panel down with the largest frame die from Essentials: Katherine Cutaways and foam mounted it to a white card base. I then used the In A Word: Hello cutaway to die-cut the large sentiment along with some other die-cuts, also being revealed later this week 😉

I foam mounted the large die-cut to the card front and used small blobs of Glossy Accents to adhere the leaf die-cuts around the sentiment. To finish, I added some coordinating coloured sequins!

I hope you get a chance to check out the projects from Julie and Shay on the Winnie & Walter blog, along with the rest of the Winnie & Walter talent. The new release will be available at 22.00 CST on Friday, 1st of May!

Thanks for stopping by!
