Today is the fifth and final day of the March release from Neat & Tangled, and it ends with another fabulous stamp set!
Day 5 is for Giving Tree, a 6×4″ stamp set that includes some cute owls, tree stumps and branches.
Here’s my card:
I began by creating a background on an A2 sized card base, using the largest tree branch image from the set. I stamped it repeatedly with a rainbow assortment of Distress Inks onto the top half of the card and set aside to work on the next element.
I took a piece of white card stock and partially die-cut a circle from it so that it could be foam mounted to the card base as one continuous piece. This is fairly easy to do with a circle die and there are a few videos on YouTube to show you how its done 😉
I stamped the largest owl and a supporting sentiment onto the partially die-cut panel with black dye ink and mounted to the card base, allowing the vibrant background to peek through the top.
I couldn’t resist adding some googly eyes to the owl’s face! To finish, I adhered a couple of coordinating sequins to the background.
Pop by the Neat & Tangled Blog to see what the rest of the DT has created – all the sets that we have showcased this week are now available in the shop!
Thanks for looking 😉
