Hello there!

I’ve over at the Neat & Tangled blog today to share a card I made using some of the smaller images from the Sailmates stamp set to create a pretty background 😉

I began by drawing some diagonal guidelines on the card base and stamping the ship’s wheel in a combination of Hero Arts Butter Bar and Raspberry Jam mid-tone inks. In between each wheel, I stamped the tiny anchor image with Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue ink.

I also added a few tiny splats of Black Soot Distress Ink, just to break the background up a little. Once the card was dry, I moved on to the focal element. I stamped the tag image from Gifts For You, first on some matching pattern paper, and then on some vellum. I masked off the little hole in the tag so that the sentiment would fit.

The sentiment comes from the Sailmates set and is stamped in the middle of the tag – I fussy cut both tags out and foam mounted them to the card base. I then stamped the anchor from Hope Anchors onto a piece of white cardstock and fussy cut that out too before adding it to the card.

I finished up by brushing some clear Wink of Stella onto the anchor, the sentiment and a small black heart. There’s a few Pink Lemonade sequins scattered around too!

Thanks for stopping by 😉
