Hopefully, you’ve arrived from Heather Ruwe’s blog, but be sure to hop along and see all the other cards made by some wonderfully, talented crafters! Here’s my card:

Apologies for the bad lighting in the photograph – I’ve been experimenting with background papers and sometimes it casts horrible shadows 😦 . I began by swiping some silver embossing paste through a stencil I created using the Memory Box Piestra Tile die onto a white card base.

While waiting for the paste to set, I moved on to creating the focal panel. I used a combination of Picked Raspberry and Salty Ocean Distress Inks to make a background by smushing the ink pads onto a craft sheet, spritzing with water and laying down a panel of white cardstock. I heat set the panel and repeated the process until I was happy.

I inked up the Diamonds stamp from Neat & Tangled in both the Picked Raspberry and Salty Ocean in a sort of ombré effect, and stamped onto the inky panel. Then I stamped the A lot to Say speech bubble in Versafine Onyx Black ink and trimmed around the edge, leaving a slight border. You can now buy the coordinating die to go with A Lot to Say to make it so much easier to cut out!

I partially inked up the So Very Blessed image, stamped it into the speech bubble and foam mounted to the front of the card. The ‘new baby’ sentiment comes from Clearly Besotted’s A Little Sentimental stamp set. I finished off with a sprinkling of Neat & Tangled sequins and a couple of small die-cut hearts and stars – there’s also some clear Wink of Stella to help the whole thing sparkle and come to life more!

Congratulations to Danielle and her family on their newest addition! Your next stop is the fabulous Christine, who organised the blog hop and prepared the cute little graphic! Here’s the full list of all the other blogs to visit in case you missed one:
