Hello there…welcome to another Runway Inspired Challenge. This week we’ve teamed up with Case This Sketch! to bring you an awesome combination of inspiration photo and sketch – be sure to play along!
Here’s my take:
I don’t have many flower stamps in my stash but really liked some of the vibrant colours from the inspiration photo, so used them to create a background panel. I sprayed different coloured mists onto some white cardstock and heat set so that I could use an ink dauber to push some black ink through the Texture Flourish stencil from Memory Box.
Using the same stencil, but slightly offset, I went through with some translucent embossing paste on top of the black areas for some added shine and texture. I also added a few squiggles with a white gel pen. Once the whole thing was dry, I die-cut an aperture in the centre of the panel using the CAS-ual Fridays Heart Board Fri-Die, making sure to keep hold of all the pieces. I also die-cut the hearts out of white and black cardstock.
I drew a curved line on the back of my panel, cut around it and foam mounted to a card base. I also inlaid the die-cut hearts back in place, alternating between black, white and textured, and stamped a sentiment from Avery Elle’s Bright Days set.
Our sponsor this week is Ellen Hutson, but even more special, Deepti Malik is our Guest Designer…

Beautiful! I could not figure out how in the world you did this until I read your post! I actually have some translucent embossing paste and have no idea what to do with it…I love this effect!
