CAS-ual Fridays CFC126 – Colour Blocks

Hello everyone!

Today’s post is for a brand new CAS-ual Fridays Challenge and the theme is colour blocks. The idea is that you use colour blocking on your clean and simple project – easy peasy, right?! Well, for me, not so much…I must admit, I struggled a little but when I did get an idea in my head, I persevered and came up with this:

I wanted to create bands of colour, but try to be a little more creative with it so sponged some Hero Arts Neon Pink and Delicata Golden Glitz inks through a stencil (which was made from the Lil Inkers Pieced Chevron die). The Golden Glitz is so awesome and shines so bright!

Once dry, I stamped these gorgeous flowers from the CAS-ual Fridays Truth Is stamp set in Versafine Onyx Black Ink – I noticed that the black ink didn’t take so well over the Golden Glitz so swiped some Neon Pink ink on a piece of white cardstock, and stamped the image again.

I fussy cut both flower heads out, sponged a small amount of Golden Glitz on the base of the flowers and then foam mounted them to the front of the card. I embellished with a few gemstones on the flowers and stamped a sentiment from the same set.
