Hello everyone!
Welcome back to another challenge for Cas-ual Fridays, this time in combination with the fabulous Curtain Call Challenge!
And here’s the inspiration pic for this week’s challenge:
Some unusual colours here, and let me tell ya, I tried all sorts of combos – kraft and green, or light blue and orange, or…I could go on, but I won’t ;-). Here’s my card:
I can only apologise about the poor quality of the photo – the weather was not on my side yesterday morning! There’s a fine misting of Perfect Pearls on the white panel that looks great in real life, but doesn’t show up so well in the pic 😦
I’m seriously loving the new Fri-Dies from Cas-ual Fridays – I used the curved square die to cut a window on my white panel, and then used the funky element die to create my ‘snowflake’ embellishment. Both are from the Funky Square Tag Fri-Dies set. Through the window, you can see strips of colour which were cut up from panels of cardstock that I’d first smeared with Distress Inks. I was trying to pick some of the harder to see colours from the inspiration pic…
The strips were arranged and adhered to a white piece of scrap paper, and then stuck straight down on to a kraft card base. I stamped a sentiment from the Christmas Carols set onto the white panel, and then foam mounted it to the card. I used a small peg to hold my snowflake and then stuck it to the front with Glossy Accents.
There’s a sequin in the middle, topped with a small red gemstone…ta-da!!!
