Hey everyone, and happy weekend!
Today I’m sharing a card that I created for the Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World. Here’s the inspiration pic:
The pattern and the colours are so cool, its hard not to get a rush of ideas in your head when you look at it! Here’s my card:
First I created coloured panels based on the inspiration pic using Distress Inks, and then I die-cut each panel using the Memory Box Contempo border die. This left me with lots and lots of small circle and square negative die-cut pieces!
I used the same die to create a template out of plain white cardstock, so that I could lay it on my card base and adhere all the tiny circles and squares back in to place. I wanted to mimic the chevron pattern from the image – hopefully you can see this better in my photo below:
Finally, I stamped a sentiment from the Ali Edwards Loving Words set in Versafine Onyx Black. This took a while to come together, but I’m pleased with it all the same…
Thanks for looking 😉
Really striking effect! I give you credit for the amount of patience this took to do. 🙂 Very nice result.
What a clever and beautiful way to interpret the TT…I love it!
Okay, I’m sitting here in awe! All those tiny little pieces look FANTASTIC arranged like that! I’m a sucker for rainbow colored things, so this has me grinning from ear to ear! L.O.V.E! Super duper CAS too!!! 🙂
Wow, absolutely stunning.
okay, you rocked this!!! and thanks again for that liebster award 🙂 I finally had the chance to write about it today! take care 🙂
Hey Flubidoo! Thanks for linking this up to this week’s Tuesday Trigger in the Moxie Fab World! I’m so glad you joined in on all the fun! 🙂
Clever, creative and stunning!
All I can say is….WOW!
Unbelievable. Looks fantastic but all the work you put into it. I would frame it I think. Beautiful colours, you clever girl.
Its awesome !!
This is absolutely amazing!
Wow, although with your attention to detail and willingness to dive into projects like this, I am certainly not surprised. Most people would dismiss an idea like this that pops into their head … I love that you run with it. The sentiment is just perfect, since you would really only give a card like this to someone you absolutely love. It’s not a “hello, friend” type of card! Congrats on your Trigger win!!
Absolutely stunning!!!Loved the colours and your imagination!!! Congrats on your trigger win.
Love this! Your creation is art! And I echo all of the above, “bravo”, well deserved shout out!
Fantastic card, Flubidoo! I love that border die… and you gave it a new life. Congratulations on your well deserved win.
