Hello again! I’ve had so much fun with creating this card, and I’m entering it into the Paper Smooches June 3-9 Trend Watch challenge, based on the image below:
I love all the gold in the image, and had so many ideas, but the spin on this was to try to keep it clean and simple. So, here’s my card:
You can’t see it so well in the photo, but the focal die-cut actually has Perfect Gold Perfect Pearls on it. Here’s a close up, hopefully showing it a little better:
First, I stamped the largest doily image from the WPlus9 Damask Doilies stamp set with Versamark and Mustard Seed Distress Ink on some white card stock, then brush over the Perfect Gold Perfect Pearls. I then die-cut the petal shapes using the WPlus9 Quilt Cuts 1 die, and set aside. As I don’t have any of the Paper Smooches sentiment stamps (yet), I used one of the free digi stamps available here (these are awesome by the way).
I printed the digi stamp on some card stock, trimmed the panel so that it was slightly smaller than the card base and stamped the large doily once again in Mustard Seed Distress Ink. I then foam mounted the petals on top, so that it match the stamped image below. I stuck a gold pearl brad from American Crafts (found at TK Maxx of all places!) through the focal image, wrapped some twine around the middle, and adhered the panel to a kraft card base.
With a sprinkling of gold gemstones on the card, that was me finished!
Thanks for looking!
